TYPE FHSR

The self-regulating FHSR range of tracer is manufactured from a semi-conductive polymer which changes its loading depending on the surrounding ambient temperature, as the temperature increases the carbon particles diminish and the electrical resistance increases therefore loading decreases, this process is reversed as the cables cool.

This change takes place automatically along the entire length of the cable therefore it cannot overheat or burn out.

Self-Regulating Tracers

TYPE FHSL

Flexiheats self-regulating type FHSL range of tracer is manufactured using a temperature dependent resistance element connected between the two bus-bar conductors, which regulates and limits the heat output accordingly, i.e. power decreases as temperature, and thereby resistance, increases. This change takes place automatically at each zone along the entire length of the cable therefore overheating is prevented and temperature limiters are not required.
